Our Story

From a garage to a church family

Our church began humbly, in the garage of a local family's home, where a small group of believers gathered for prayer, fellowship, and the study of Scripture.

As that modest gathering grew, the church family purchased land and built its first building — and God has continued to add to our number ever since. Through the years, the heart of Calvary has never changed: to love God, love people, and lift up the name of Jesus Christ.

Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Louis Canaday

Serving Calvary since May 1992

Pastor Louis Canaday and his wife, Teresa, have faithfully served Calvary Baptist Church since May of 1992. With over forty years of ministry, Pastor Canaday brings a deep love for God's Word and an even deeper love for people.

His genuine care shows in his spirit of hospitality and outreach. He and Teresa have three grown children and ten grandchildren, and they treasure time spent with their family.
